Wynnum External Stair Replacement
Project Description: Building Hardwood Stairs in Wynnum
In the coastal suburb of Wynnum we were tasked with Building a straight flight of hardwood external stairs for a Client who only had one point of Access.
2. Fabrication of New Stringers and Treads:
Using high-quality Australian hardwoods, such as Spotted Gum, Blackbutt, or Ironbark, we will meticulously measure, cut, and fabricate the new stringers and treads to fit the specifications of the space. These hardwood varieties not only withstand the coastal climate but also age well.
3. Installation: Once the new stringers and treads are ready, we will proceed with the installation process. We first securely install the hardwood stairs to the existing house utilizing the checkouts and then securing with 200mm Galvanized Coach Screws through the back of the beam, paying close attention to detail to ensure proper alignment and structural integrity. Throughout the installation, we will maintain open communication with you to address any questions or concerns that may arise.
4.Finishing Touches:
Once the Staircase has been built, the Hardwood needs to season for at least 1 month, Only then a Coat of Oil Based Primer should be applied. You then have a choice either to perform a DIY paintworks or we can organize for a quote from our External Stair Painters here in Brisbane.
